Packing my bags and getting ready to head to Denve Packing my bags and getting ready to head to Denver next week for Bridging the Gap 2025 and I’m so pumped for what’s coming.

This conference is all about creating meaningful connections and reimagining what success can look like in our industry and for us as individuals.

I'm so excited to be speaking on the “Firm Exit Stories” panel to share how I built a business that could thrive without me at the center (plus the mindset shifts it took to get there).

Still thinking about joining? There’s just enough time to snag a ticket. 😉

Come hang with me and a lineup of brilliant speakers at www.btgconference.com

💡 “Just sell it. It’s an asset, right?” 💡 “Just sell it. It’s an asset, right?”

That line stopped me in my tracks.

It came from a designer I was working with, let’s call her Randy. She had an impressive background: well-traveled, highly educated, and came across as effortlessly polished. The kind of person who navigated the business world with ease and confidence.

Meanwhile I was deep in the trenches. Three kids (one still in diapers), running a fast-growing firm with barely enough time to breathe, and constantly questioning whether I had what it took to lead. I was hustling hard but flying blind.

One day, in a haze of burnout, I blurted out, “I’m so tired. I just want to quit.”

Randy didn’t blink. She looked up and said, “Just sell it. It’s an asset, right? You’ve got recurring revenue, a brand, loyal clients. People sell businesses, you know.”

Until that moment, I didn’t. I mean I knew they sold business but I never thought about selling MY business.

That comment flipped a switch. I realized my business might be worth more than my house, but I hadn’t been treating it like an asset. I’d been treating it like a job I couldn’t leave.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, exhausted, or like you’ve built a business you can’t step away from… maybe it’s time to reframe the entire thing.

You can build something valuable. You can build something sellable. Stick around to find out how. 😏
Scaling New Heights was so incredible, but I’m n Scaling New Heights was so incredible, but I’m not done with my not-so-world tour yet! 😉

My next stop?

The Bridging the Gap Conference in Denver, CO! ✨

This year’s theme is “Expedition Innovation” which is a perfect fit because I’ll be joining the “Firm Exit Stories” panel to share the real-world strategies, mindset shifts, and (yes) hard lessons that helped me build a firm that could thrive without me at the center

The Countdown is on:
🗓 July 22–24

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a bus One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a business owner is this:

You don’t have to be an expert at everything. You just need to know when to ask for help.

In the beginning, I wasted hours trying to figure things out on my own. Pricing. Contracts. Red flag clients. Oh - and I was also raising two little humans on my own.

The truth is, leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being resourceful. It’s about having the courage to ask questions, seek feedback, and surround yourself with people who have been there before.

That’s why community and mentorship matter so much. You don’t have to carry it all on your own. In fact you absolutely SHOULD NOT do it all on your own (that's a scarcity mindset, ask me how I know this so well).

Inside of The Incubator, my community and program that has helped 100s of bookkeepers and accountants truly scale and sustainable grow, we talk about this stuff a LOT.

We are here help, support, share and hold each other up. I compiled a guide of 88 tips and treasures from my trainings and things I have shared along the way. Want in?

Want to know how I got more done, made more money, Want to know how I got more done, made more money, and stopped working nights and weekends?

I stopped letting my calendar control me. And I started treating it like a tool for growth.

Every week, I schedule CEO time. That means no client work, no admin, no Zoom calls. Just me, my vision, and the work that moves the business forward.

That one habit changed everything.

Because here’s whats up: if you don’t make time to lead your business, you’ll always be stuck **inside** it (doing alllll the client work, handling all the fires, exchanging time for money).

🌱 If you want 88 tips to help you run your business with more focus and confidence, I've got you! Comment “GROW” and I’ll send my free Growth Guide your way. 🌱
